Bio
I'm an Assistant Professor of Computer Science at Spelman College and a Faculty Fellow with the Atlanta University Center Data Science Initiative. I completed my PhD at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, advised by Gang Wang and Kirill Levchenko, where my research centered on deepfakes, disinformation, and AI-generated content detection. Along the way I interned at IBM Research and Lawrence Livermore National Lab, taught myself web development as an independent contractor for over 100 client sites, and built a research career that spans security, HCI, and robotics — always with an eye toward how technology affects real people and communities, not just benchmarks.
